Mortal Shell 2 Gloom Farming: Recover, Spend, Repeat

How to protect dropped Gloom, choose a safe farming loop and spend the currency without starving the Shell or weapon you actually use.

Recover before you farm

A dropped Gloom pile is the highest-value target in the current run. Mark its location mentally, clear the shortest safe route and avoid taking a second death while chasing a theoretical farming loop.

Farm a loop you can reset

Choose enemies near a Beacon or a reliable travel anchor, finish the loop without spending all healing and reset at the Beacon. A slightly slower loop that never loses a pile beats a high-risk burst route.

Spend in a fixed order

Prioritize the Shell or weapon that solves the next known problem, then keep a reserve for route mistakes. Gloom is not a substitute for Glimpses, Shell points or Tarstone XP.

Use Night Mode after the build is stable

Night Mode can increase drops, but stronger enemies multiply the cost of mistakes. Treat it as an upgrade to a proven route, not a shortcut around learning the area.

Know when farming is unnecessary

Do not farm because the currency counter looks low. Farm only when a known upgrade changes the next matchup, and stop once that purchase is covered. Route progress, a cleansed Beacon or a recovered weapon often has more value than another risky loop.
